3. Using our website
You may use this website for lawful personal or business travel-planning purposes.
You must not:
- Use the website in a way that is unlawful, fraudulent or harmful.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, database or connected systems.
- Introduce malware, automated attacks or harmful computer code.
- Copy, scrape, reproduce or commercially exploit website content without permission.
- Submit false, misleading, abusive or impersonated information.
- Interfere with the website’s performance, availability or security.
We may restrict access to the website where misuse, fraud or security concerns are reasonably suspected.
4. Travel information
Website descriptions, sample itineraries, destination information, photographs and travel guidance are provided for general planning purposes.
Travel times, weather, attraction access, route conditions, opening hours, entry requirements and local circumstances may change.
Information shown on the website does not by itself create a confirmed booking or guarantee availability.
Final services, dates, prices, inclusions and exclusions must be confirmed in writing before travel.
5. Enquiries and proposals
You may submit an enquiry through our contact page, email, telephone, WhatsApp or another approved communication method.
An enquiry does not create a booking or require either party to proceed.
To prepare a suitable proposal, we may ask for information including:
- Travel dates and flexibility.
- Number and ages of travellers.
- Preferred destinations and activities.
- Accommodation preferences.
- Transport and luggage requirements.
- Accessibility, dietary or other relevant needs.
- Budget range where appropriate.
You are responsible for ensuring that information provided to us is complete and accurate.
6. Quotations and prices
Prices shown on the website are illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise.
A quotation may depend on availability, dates, group size, accommodation category, transport type, exchange rates, supplier charges, taxes, park fees and other costs.
Unless stated otherwise, a quotation:
- Is not a confirmed booking.
- May be subject to an expiry date.
- May change before payment and confirmation.
- Applies only to the services and travellers identified in the quotation.
We will aim to correct obvious pricing errors. Where a genuine mistake is identified before confirmation, we may withdraw or replace the affected quotation.
7. Booking confirmation
A booking becomes confirmed only when:
- We have accepted the booking in writing.
- Any required deposit or payment has been successfully received.
- Relevant traveller details and requirements have been provided.
- Supplier availability has been confirmed where applicable.
The person making a group booking confirms that they have authority to act for the other travellers and to provide their relevant information.
The lead traveller is responsible for checking the booking confirmation and notifying us promptly of any error.
8. Payments
Payment amounts, instalment dates, currencies and accepted payment methods will be stated in the quotation, invoice or booking confirmation.
A booking may require:
- An initial deposit.
- One or more staged payments.
- Full payment before a stated deadline.
- Direct payment to a named supplier where clearly disclosed.
Bank, card, currency-conversion or intermediary charges may be payable by the customer unless otherwise agreed.
Failure to pay by the required deadline may result in cancellation and applicable cancellation charges.
Payment-card information should only be submitted through an approved secure payment process.
9. Changes to a booking
If you request a change after confirmation, we will consider it but cannot guarantee that the change will be possible.
Changes may result in:
- Supplier amendment charges.
- Fare or room-rate differences.
- Administrative costs.
- Loss of an existing booking or promotion.
- A revised itinerary or service level.
No requested change is confirmed until accepted in writing and any additional amount has been paid.
We may make minor changes where reasonably necessary. If a significant change is required, your available options will depend on the contract, supplier terms and applicable law.
10. Cancellations and refunds
A cancellation request should be made in writing by the lead traveller.
Cancellation charges may reflect:
- How close the cancellation is to the travel date.
- Non-refundable supplier costs already incurred.
- Accommodation, transport or activity cancellation terms.
- Reasonable administrative and operational costs.
- Any amount we are able to recover or mitigate from suppliers.
The precise cancellation terms for a booking should be stated before confirmation.
Where a confirmed service is cancelled by us or cannot be supplied, the remedies available may include an alternative, credit, partial refund or refund, depending on the reason, contract terms and applicable consumer law.
Travel services arranged for specific dates may not carry the same cancellation rights as ordinary online retail purchases. Do not assume that a general 14-day cooling-off period applies to a travel booking.
11. Third-party suppliers
Travel services may be provided by independent suppliers such as:
- Hotels and accommodation providers.
- Drivers and chauffeur operators.
- Coach and transfer companies.
- Tour guides.
- Activity and attraction operators.
- Restaurants and event providers.
- Payment and technology providers.
Supplier terms may apply in addition to these terms.
Where we act only as an introducer or booking intermediary, this should be stated before confirmation. Where we act as the organiser or principal, different statutory responsibilities may apply.
12. Traveller responsibilities
Travellers are responsible for:
- Checking all names, dates and booking details.
- Arriving at agreed meeting points and departure locations on time.
- Carrying valid passports, visas, tickets and required documents.
- Providing accurate information about medical, mobility, dietary or safety needs where relevant.
- Following reasonable safety instructions and local laws.
- Respecting accommodation, vehicles, staff, communities and other travellers.
- Paying for damage, fines or costs caused by their conduct where legally responsible.
We may be unable to provide a service where essential information has been withheld or supplied inaccurately.
13. Passport, visa and health requirements
Each traveller is responsible for confirming the passport, visa, ETA, immigration, vaccination and health requirements applicable to them.
Requirements may differ according to nationality, passport type, country of residence, age, health circumstances and journey purpose.
CeylonTour does not issue passports, visas or Electronic Travel Authorisations.
Information on our website is general guidance only. Official government and immigration sources should be checked before booking and again before departure.
We are not responsible where a traveller is refused travel or entry because they do not hold the required documents or meet applicable requirements.
14. Travel insurance
Travellers are strongly encouraged to obtain suitable travel insurance from the time of booking.
Insurance should be considered for:
- Trip cancellation and curtailment.
- Medical treatment and repatriation.
- Personal belongings and baggage.
- Travel delays and missed connections.
- Adventure or specialist activities.
- Pre-existing medical conditions.
It is the traveller’s responsibility to review the policy terms, exclusions, excesses and cover limits.
15. Traveller conduct
We expect travellers to behave lawfully and respectfully.
We or a supplier may refuse or terminate a service where a traveller’s conduct:
- Threatens safety.
- Is abusive, violent, discriminatory or unlawful.
- Causes serious disruption.
- Damages property.
- Places staff, suppliers or other travellers at risk.
Where a service is terminated for serious misconduct, refunds may not be available and the traveller may remain responsible for resulting costs.
16. Problems and complaints
If a problem arises during travel, you should report it as soon as reasonably possible to the relevant supplier and to our team.
Prompt reporting gives us and the supplier an opportunity to investigate and attempt to resolve the issue.
After travel, a complaint should be submitted in writing with:
- The lead traveller’s name.
- The booking reference.
- A clear description of the issue.
- Relevant dates and locations.
- Supporting photographs or documents where appropriate.
We aim to acknowledge complaints promptly and respond after investigating the available information.
17. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to applicable law and the role in which we act, we are not responsible for loss caused by:
- Incorrect or incomplete information supplied by you.
- Your failure to hold required travel documents.
- Your failure to follow instructions or local law.
- Independent services that were not booked or arranged through us.
- Events that could not reasonably have been predicted or prevented.
- Indirect, consequential or business losses not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was made.
Any financial limitation of liability must be reviewed professionally before launch and must not conflict with mandatory consumer or package-travel law.
18. Events beyond our control
Travel arrangements may be affected by events outside the reasonable control of the customer, CeylonTour or a supplier.
Examples may include:
- Severe weather or natural disaster.
- War, terrorism or civil unrest.
- Government restrictions or border closures.
- Epidemic, pandemic or public-health emergency.
- Industrial action.
- Road closures or transport disruption.
- Utility, communications or technology failure.
- Unexpected closure of an attraction or destination.
The available response may depend on supplier terms, insurance cover and applicable law. We will aim to provide reasonable assistance where possible.

Unless otherwise stated, the website design, written content, branding, graphics and original materials belong to CeylonTour or are used with permission.
You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial travel planning.
You may not reproduce, republish, sell, license, modify or systematically extract website content without prior written permission.
Third-party photographs, names, marks and materials remain the property of their respective owners.
20. External websites
Our website may link to independent third-party websites, including government, immigration, payment, accommodation, transport and social-media services.
We do not control independent third-party websites and are not responsible for their availability, security, content, pricing or terms.
You should review the relevant third party’s own terms and privacy notice before using its service.
21. Privacy and personal data
Information about how we collect, use, retain and share personal data is provided in our Privacy Policy.
Information about cookies and similar technologies is provided in our Cookie Policy.
22. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in our services, business model, suppliers, technology or legal requirements.
Updated website terms will apply from the date they are published.
Changes to a confirmed booking will be governed by the terms accepted when the booking was made, unless a change is required by law or agreed by both parties.
23. Governing law
The governing law and courts that apply must be confirmed before launch according to the legal entity operating the website, its establishment, the customer’s location and mandatory consumer rights.
No wording in these terms removes any mandatory legal rights a consumer may have.
