Day 1
Airport – Negombo
Meet your private chauffeur at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Negombo. Check into your hotel and enjoy a relaxed first evening beside Sri Lanka’s west coast.

Travel time: Approximately 30 minutes

Day 2
Negombo – Pinnawala – Kandy
Travel inland towards Kandy with an optional stop near Pinnawala. Continue through tropical countryside before arriving in Sri Lanka’s cultural hill capital.

Travel time: Approximately 3.5 to 4 hours plus stops
Main experiences: Central countryside, Kandy Lake and Kandy city

Day 3
Kandy Cultural Exploration

Nuwara Eliya – Ella

Main experiences: Mountain railway, tea country, Ella Gap and Ravana Falls

Day 6
Ella – Arugam Bay
Visit Nine Arch Bridge or Little Adam’s Peak before travelling from the hill country towards Arugam Bay on Sri Lanka’s southeastern coast.

Arugam Bay – Batticaloa – Passikudah

Main experiences: Batticaloa, Kallady Bridge and Passikudah

Day 8
Passikudah – Trincomalee – Nilaveli
Continue to Trincomalee and explore its important coastal, cultural and historical attractions before relaxing in Nilaveli.

Day 9
Trincomalee – Jaffna
Travel from the northeast through changing landscapes towards the Jaffna Peninsula. Pass through Elephant Pass before arriving in Sri Lanka’s northern cultural centre.
Distance: Approximately 235 km
Travel time: Approximately 5 to 6 hours
Main experiences: Northeastern countryside, Elephant Pass and Jaffna
Optional experience: Evening walk through Jaffna town

Day 10
Jaffna Heritage and Island Culture
Discover Jaffna’s temples, colonial heritage, markets and distinctive regional cuisine. The programme can focus on culture, history or nearby island experiences.

Main experiences: Nallur Temple, Jaffna Fort, Jaffna Library and local markets

Jaffna – Mannar – Anuradhapura
Travel through Mannar and continue south towards Anuradhapura. Stop at selected landmarks, coastal landscapes and historic locations along the way.

Main experiences: Mannar Island, baobab tree, northern landscapes and Anuradhapura

Day 12
Anuradhapura – Mihintale – Sigiriya
Explore the sacred ancient city of Anuradhapura before visiting Mihintale and continuing towards Sigiriya or Dambulla.
Distance: Approximately 85 km
Travel time: Approximately 2.5 hours plus sightseeing
Main experiences: Sri Maha Bodhi, ancient stupas, reservoirs and Mihintale

Travel tip: Carry socks because the stone surfaces at religious sites can become hot.
Day 13
Sigiriya – Polonnaruwa – Minneriya

Galle – Colombo – Airport
