Each day combines private travel, carefully planned safaris, wildlife observation, comfortable accommodation and flexible nature experiences.

Day 1

Arrival in Sri Lanka – Negombo

Meet your private chauffeur at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Negombo. Depending on your arrival time, enjoy a relaxed coastal walk or lagoon-side birdwatching introduction.

Distance: Approximately 15 km

Travel Time: Approximately 20 to 30 minutes

Main Wildlife Experiences: Negombo lagoon, coastal scenery, water birds and fishing communities

Optional: Private lagoon boat ride, sunset birdwatching or seafood dinner

Safari Tip: Keep binoculars and one camera easily accessible during coastal and lagoon stops.

Negombo – Wilpattu National Park

Travel Time: Approximately 3 to 3.5 hours

Main Wildlife Experiences: Sigiriya countryside, village scenery, lakes and tropical birdlife

Optional: Village experience, nature walk, Pidurangala sunset or Sigiriya Rock Fortress

Safari Tip: The Sigiriya region is excellent for photographing both wildlife and rural landscapes.

Day 5

Minneriya Elephant Safari – Kandy

Join a private safari in Minneriya, Kaudulla or another suitable nearby national park according to current elephant movements. Continue through Matale to Kandy.

Main Wildlife Experiences: Wild elephants, dry-zone grasslands, water birds and Matale countryside

Optional: Private naturalist, Sigiriya visit or cultural performance in Kandy

Safari Tip: The best park may change according to rainfall, water levels and seasonal elephant movement.

Day 6

Kandy – Udawalawe

Begin with an optional visit to the Royal Botanical Gardens before travelling south through changing hill-country and lowland landscapes towards Udawalawe.
