Your Journey
Day 1
Arrival – Negombo
Meet your private chauffeur at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to Negombo for a relaxed first evening beside the coast.
Distance: Approximately 15 km
Travel Time: Approximately 20 to 30 minutes
Main Attractions: Negombo Beach, lagoon scenery and local fishing communities
Optional: Sunset beach walk or private lagoon cruise
Travel Tip: Negombo is close to the airport and provides a comfortable first night after your international flight.
Day 2
Negombo – Kalpitiya
Travel north along Sri Lanka’s west coast towards Kalpitiya, a peaceful peninsula known for marine wildlife and lagoon landscapes.
Distance: Approximately 130 km
Travel Time: Approximately 3 to 3.5 hours
Main Attractions: Coastal villages, Kalpitiya Lagoon and peninsula scenery
Optional: Lagoon boat trip, kayaking or kite-surfing introduction
Travel Tip: Marine activities depend on weather, sea conditions and seasonal operating schedules.
Day 3
Kalpitiya Dolphin and Marine Excursion
Join an early-morning boat excursion in search of dolphins and, when conditions are suitable, whales in the waters off Kalpitiya.
Distance: Local sightseeing
Travel Time: Flexible
Main Attractions: Spinner dolphins, marine wildlife, coastal waters and lagoon scenery
Optional: Whale watching, snorkelling, kite surfing or Wilpattu safari extension
Travel Tip: Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed because the animals move freely in their natural environment.
Day 4
Kalpitiya – Bentota
Travel south along the west coast towards Bentota, one of Sri Lanka’s best-known beach and watersports destinations.
Distance: Approximately 230 km
Travel Time: Approximately 5 to 6 hours plus stops
Main Attractions: West-coast scenery, Bentota Beach and Bentota River
Optional: Sunset river cruise, watersports or Ayurveda spa treatment
Travel Tip: This is a longer travel day, so regular comfort and refreshment stops will be arranged.
Day 5
Bentota – Madu River – Mirissa
Begin with a river or wildlife experience before continuing along the scenic south coast to Mirissa.
Distance: Approximately 100 km
Travel Time: Approximately 3 hours plus sightseeing
Main Attractions: Madu River, mangroves, Kosgoda Turtle Conservation Centre and Mirissa Beach
Optional: Boat safari, turtle hatchery visit or beach lunch
Travel Tip: Choose environmentally responsible wildlife activities that do not allow harmful handling of animals.
Day 6
Mirissa Whale Watching
Depart early for a seasonal whale-watching excursion from Mirissa. Spend the afternoon relaxing on the beach or exploring nearby coastal viewpoints.

Mirissa – Unawatuna – Galle

Main Attractions: Unawatuna Beach, Galle Fort, lighthouse, ramparts and colonial architecture

Travel Tip: The late afternoon is ideal for walking around Galle Fort and watching the sunset.
Day 8
Galle – Colombo – Airport
Travel towards Colombo for optional city sightseeing or shopping before continuing to Bandaranaike International Airport.
Distance: Approximately 155 km
Travel Time: Approximately 2.5 to 4 hours
Main Attractions: Colombo Fort, Galle Face Green, Independence Square and selected shopping areas
Optional: Colombo city tour, shopping stop or additional beach extension
Travel Tip: Departure timing will be planned around your flight check-in requirements and traffic conditions.
